Initial cardboard prototypes:
found this was far too intricate of a design even in paper so when translating this into plastic and foliage it would prove to be very difficult.
much simpler base to stick bark or twigs too and is much more sturdy.
Recycled plastic bottle to make base then bark superglued to it to create a natural effect.
Roof made in a similar way, with moss stuck to a simple cone shape. I chose to use plastic drinks bottles as it won’t be affected by the elements when on the tree and recycling and sustainability seem appropriate for this nature preservation project.
Finished house.
recycled drinks can used for metal and plasticine in place of polymer clay.
second house- experimenting with different materials. twigs and ivy
old coffee stirrers used as wooden planks for the rope bridge.
