Today we visited Insole Court a beautiful manor house that is undergoing refurbishment. It was a wonderfully historical building and had many gorgeous motifs throughout. here are some pictures I took:
exploring the site has made me consider possible ways in which to place work in the setting. could my work explore the history of a chosen site by integrating within it?
Or am I more inspired by the beautiful nature motifs running throughout? could possibly create a separate response to advertise insole court rather than place it with in it?
Whilst there I took graphite rubbings as I noticed it was full of beautiful textures and engravings. I wished to capture these in a more physical response as opposed to digital images.
